We are recruiting a scientist level II responsible for drug development. You will design and conduct experiments to validate drug candidates. You will supervise external research activities with CROs/CDMOs. Your objectives will be determined by the R&D Director you will report to.
The position is based in Rennes with occasional travels to Paris.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and conducting experiments
- Recording and analyzing data
- Carrying out fieldwork, eg collecting samples
- Developing, Optimizing, Validating and transfer assays for drug selection
- Presenting results to senior/other research staff
- Writing reports
- Preparing data for research proposals and funding applications/bids
- Organizing product/materials testing
- Ensuring traceability (eNoteBook) and that quality standards are met (GXPs)
- Collaborating/Liaising with research and/or production staff, academic partners
- Developing original solutions to problems
- Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments
- Writing SOPs
- Liaising with CROs / CDMOs
- Ensuring proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- Ordering lab supplies, managing stocks
- Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Desired profile
Qualifications and training required
- Ideally 2 years in a biotech/pharmaceutical environment, or 2-4 years of Post-doc position in the related discipline (mAb development with sound experience in immunotherapy). A plus would be a knowledge in inflammatory diseases.
- English (oral and written) is mandatory
- Excellent hands-on knowledge in Cell preparation, (Ficoll, sorting, Freeze/Thaw etc.)
- Flow cytometry (analyzers, sorters); ELISAs; IHC ; cytokine multiplex; ADCC; Receptor internalization
- Bioassays (chemotaxis; cell proliferation; NADA; cell differentiation; organoids)
- Mastering molecular and cell biology (cell culture, protein analysis)
- You have already carried out recombinant protein synthesis (design, manufacturing, vector, expression, and purification)
- Mastering current analytical techniques for the characterization of proteins and/or antibodies and protein/antibody coupling/conjugation
- Experienced in project management

Education
- At least a PhD in immunology or cell biology is required
